Farewell R. Hello XR.
« on: August 24, 2016, 10:08:02 AM »
Well, today was the day.

My trusty R and I departed....

...and the XR and I arrived....

I spent the afternoon removing the scaffolding from the rear and installing a SW motech tank ring for my trusty daypack bag.

Impressions....(after 5 km  :018:):

Wonderful!

Vibration is probably 80% less than every other XR I have ridden.  None through the pegs or seat.  Very slight through the bars.

Bike was built in March 2016.

And...before some smart arse comments  :164:....yes, it is a "standard" suspension model.....

:152:, excellent colour and agree the bike is wonderful, just struggle getting out on it enough, mines been laid up for almost a week now due to work... :157:
I hope the vibes have been fettled and the medicine they used rolls down to those that need it, my bar end purchase pretty much killed it off, still £40 spend on a 15 grand bike shouldn't be happening  :182:
Therapy...

You'll never see a motorbike parked outside a psychiatrists.

Thanks.

I installed HVMP bar ends today.

BIG difference!   :028:

HVMP need to supply BMW.  A simple and very effective fix.

BMW does have the parts - just put the GS bar ends on the XR.
