    Bluetooth Audio Quality

Just bought a new S1000XR and I've paired my mobile to the dash and the dash to my cardo.  Unfortunately the audio quality is very poor and music stutters, sometimes turning off completely and won't start again until I pull up and start spotify again on my phone.  I'm guessing the problem is that it's bouncing the audio from the phone to the dash, then from the dash to the cardo, ie it's going via bluetooth twice instead of just once.  Anyone else had this issue or know how to solve it?

I found that when I got an alert to the phone (text message, new email or such like) it interrupts the music and won't restart it without me intervening. I gave up in the end and use headphones plugged directly into the phone if I want to listen to music.

Ah, that could explain it.  That's disappointing.  I've ordered the connectedride cradle and will give that a go, connecting the phone directly to the cardo.  Hoping that will give me a route to controlling nav and calls via the handlebar controls but pipe music direct from the phone.  If that isn't any good then I'll sack off BMW's connectivity entirely, buy an android auto unit and mount it on the GPS mount bar.

I have a cardo neo and a connected ride paired with the bike.  It does work fairly consistently for me, but takes a long time for the songs and playlists to show up on the bike's TFT to control with the wheel.  If I'm not doing a long ride I'll often just connect my phone to my cardo and not futz with the bike's controls.  I do get a regular connection chime if music is not playing though which can be very annoying.
