    2016 S1000XR RED 90,000 Miles - North East USA

    Hello,

I am selling my beloved 2016 BMW S1000XR. This bike had been to 49 states through the 5 years I've owned it. Currently at 88,000 miles on the clock, will go up as long as its not snowing. Price is $7,500 - negotiable.

The bikes has only seen BMW dealers for all service. Mainly MAX BMW of New Milford, CT.

The bike is currently getting its 18k service. ( valve check, oil change, etc. ) as well as a compression test. I had the extended warranty which was valid until 10/28/2023, a list of components were replaced.

Some of the mods are listed below, the bike is mainly stock.
    - Cobra speed pro slip on exhaust
    - heated corbin seat ( rider + pillion)
    - fender Elim r&g
    - bmw fork sliders
    - Altrider radiator and oil cooler guard
    - SW motech crash bars
    - k & n race air filter
    - LED headlights ( extremely bright )
    - givi top case and sidecase racks
    - Galpher wave rear rotor

Below are some of the recent services performed
    - Valves, oil, spark plugs, air filter October 2023
    - Coolant flush September 2023
    - Timing chain guides + chain replaced June 2023
    - Stator replaced September 2023
    - New tires September 2023 ( Pilot road 6 GT )
    - Oil change October 2023
    - Forks serviced late 2022
    - Brake fluid flush late 2022
    - Replaced rear brake caliper late 2022
    - Replaced rear shock ( warranty ~at 65k miles on the clock )
    - New brake pads ( Front + rear ) October 2023

The bike is adult owned. No wheelies or stunts. Extremely powerful and reliable. I am looking for something more offroad capable. This deal may or may not include my Givi trekker cases as well as BMW navigator.

I am open to reasonable trades, mainly adventure bikes. I am willing to add cash.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Low ballers ignored, no joy rides, if the post is up the bike is available.  :763:

Hey I meant to ask if, during your travels, the fuel capacity ever became an issue  ? I ask that since the 3.7 gallon tank (or close to that) is considerably smaller than that on my previous bikes - and FJR1300 and an ST1100. One of these days I hope to take trips similar to yours. Thanks for sharing your experience.

The tank on the XR is 5.5 gallons. It was only an issue about twice, both when I was in the middle of nowhere and my GPS had outdated gas station info.
Best practice is to carry extra gas when going to completely remote places. :164: However, I can confidently do 200 miles on a tank.

Yeah you are correct. I thought the tank was smaller. Guess I'd better start paying closer attention. Thanks for the quick response.
