    Wilbers suspension

Checking out the Spanish XR forum, I saw mention of being able to change the front and rear shocks to either Ktech or Wilbers without losing ESA, but also having the advantage of being able to customise spring rate, rebound and compression.

Anyone done this on here? Would love to get some feedback.

I have done the Tractive conversion (they developed ESA along with BMW), and it has transformed my ride. I have almost 30k miles on the setup (has been serviced at around 24k miles).

That's their top range stuff, their "replacement-improvement" tier is about 1000 usd for the rear 1200 for the front so about 2000 euros or so

I don’t know if I’m missing something but their front springs are 150 euros , so front and rear is 1000 euros.

This is just a spring for the front forks, you are trying to compare this to a compete damping unit built for your weight and specs, not really a fair price comparison.

I wouldn’t be too concerned…cuz your in about 95% of bikers who don’t know a shock spring from a bed spring 😄,having worked for a manufacturer and getting roped into various outdoor events conversations would always go the same way with punters and when I’d had enough I’d turn the conversation to suspension and I could guarantee within a couple of minutes they’d be gone and the end product is ESA  :150: give e’m a button to press they’ll go for it every time 😜.

Where things are going to get complicated is when punters want decent sus with ESA my KTM GT has taught me that,in the mean time I’m more than happy to run either Ohlins or in the case of my XR a manual Wilbers until things get sorted, which I fitted days after buying the bike new all those years ago.

When I say sorted that’s either the Wilbers option that has already been posted or some sorted of dongle that I can plug into my KTM electrics to keep it happy and fit a manual option.

Tell me more about your Wilbers, I see they have compression only option or also with rebound.

Im getting wobbles coming off the gas at high speed.
