I was told by a guy at a BMW dealer that you could remove a baffle in the Akrapovic exhaust to make it sound better. I was looking for more info and found a video where a guy was drilling out rivets to make this happen. Can someone that has a factory Akrapovic exhaust tell me how the baffle is removed on a 2023 or 2024 S1000XR?

As I understand it....The early 15-16 Euro-3 Gen-1's with the factory Akra muffler had a removeable Db killer, the later ones, 17-19 Euro-4 Gen-1, the Db killer was riveted/welded in and supposedly "non-removable"...but a little time taken removing the weld/rivets sorted that.
I suspect the Gen-2's were also made to meet Euro-5 regulations and is "non-removeable" without a bit of work.
Smithy.

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather....not screaming like the passengers in his car..!

Smithy, that makes sense a factory option usually won't let you just unbolt a emission or sound baffle. by the way, I like your personal message at the bottom of your posts. lol
