You're right, it was poor last year. Not much going on at all.

I'm not going this year but as my mate, who is going, pointed out, there's been a lot of new bike launches this year so it should be a little more interesting.

I'll be there next Saturday along with my son, two mates, the two kids of one of the mates, and my amazing 84 year-old 'teenager' of a Mum who still rides pillion with me and knows Moto GP inside out and upside down.  :152:

Should be going up on Saturday. Will have a little nose around, but nothing I am really after except a S1000XR or V4RS  :015:

A very valid point - Might be worth a visit.

I was there yesterday. Wasn't overly impressed to be honest. Saw the M1000XR in the flesh and really like it, booking a test ride..... The new GS actually looks nice too, much smaller than previous model. May even test one of these too or I may just have to have a word with myself.

The ABR Festival is ace for this. They have a dedicated 20km off road track and just about all manufacturers are there. If you queue up early to book a slot on what you want to ride and the more off road versions go around (part of) the off road track. Over the last couple of years I have ridden:
KTM 1290 Super Adventure S - on road (and then bought one)
Ducati V4S Rally - on road
Ducati V4S - on road (and then bought my mates one off him)
Harley Davidson Pan America - off road
Moto Morini xScape 650 - on road and off road
      Energica Rebelli - on road
This year Ducati had an army of Dessert X's there and my mate went off roading on one, and then went out on the Kawasaki H2 touring thing next.

An expensive weekend, but for riding bikes all day and then watching bands all night it's pretty good  :047:

Ye wanted to go but timing just didn't work out, it's on the bucket list though. I did find the MCL indoors offroad track pretty decent though last year, had an africa twin then.
