    Switched supply under tank

Hi all, I'm installing a quad lock on the handlebar clamp and it needs power.  Is there a 12v switched supply I can tap under the tank fairing to avoid having to run cable round from the 12v socket or GPS supply at the front of the cockpit?

Do you not have a DIN socket on the front left side of your dash area?  As BMW makes DIN to USB adapters thats how I run power to my phone when mounted on my quad lock.

Yes it does but I wanted a hard wired solution leaving the socket free.  In the end I split the supply to that socket and ran a cable round to the quad lock charger.

The BMW Din adapter has two USB ports so you would still have power available if one is dedicated to your phone/quad lock.

Sure, but there's still a cable on the dash and the adapter can be stolen if you don't remember to unplug it which would itself be a ball ache.

Fair point as I never unplug mine.  If someone wants a $30 part that bad then so be it.   :008:

I'd bet a kidney that someone will, and probably somewhere you're going to struggle to replace it.
