Been a while due to illness and moving house etc etc.
Anyways, is there anyway you can turn off the High revs when starting bike. Somebody mentioned to me they did this on the S100RR. However not sure winding me up??  :152:

It’s due to Euro5 emissions regulations. It drops back down to a sensible idle within 30 seconds or so. There’s no legal way to change this as far as I am aware.

A Brentune Stage 1 remap will sort it.

Or a BHPUK mapping. With basically the same procedure as Brentuning but cheaper and its closer to you.

I had this issue, the bike sounded like it was revving its nuts off when start up on cold.

You can go into the setting on the screen and adjust the revs either way.

Do you have the BHPUK one? Does it indeed switch off the cold high idle, and opens exhaust valve earlier etc? I know how the concept works, the handheld is a Dimsport Mygenius, and is up to BT and BHPUK on how much effort they put in to use other Dimsport tools to provide the tuning and features. That could range from simple to extensive. The BHPUK site does not provide much info
Competitor of Dimsport is Alientech. Had that on my 320d car.  They now have KESS, a much faster system but not aimed at the end user like the Mygenius
Both Dimsport and Alientech are Italian..

Yes. And that is exactly what they did on my tune. No more high idle at cold start, and the exhaust valve always fully open.
You can contact them for an inquiry.

Thanks. Will contact them as another thing I don't like at all is BMW's vision of TPMS read out. I simply want to see real pressures, not a temperature compensated one.  Can't believe the 1000RR owners are happy with that, they have basically a track bike and get compensated pressure readings. If BHPUK can get the true readings..
