    Seeking European Tour Company Recommendations

    Hi out there!
I’d greatly appreciate any organized touring companies/trips in Europe you may have.
My husband and I just starting to look into it.

    -Needs to be English speaking
    -About 2 weeks trip duration
-Prefer riding on the right hand side of the road, I am apprehensive of the learning curve detracting from the trip enjoyment if I have to ride on the left side of the road.
-Coming from the US with hardly any European travel so we’d prefer a decent amount of hand holding
    -Prefer hotels, not camping.

    Thanks!

this group of independent hotels in the Austrian Alps & Italian Dolomites offer tours. I have used two of them (Enzian and Weisseespitze) and the staff spoke good English. Some of the hotels have BMW bikes you can hire. Each hotel owner rides a bike and leads the tours in their area.

    Group tours website https://www.motorrad-hotel.com/en/offers/
Hotel Enzian website with prices of hire bikes https://www.hotel-enzian.com/de/pauschalen/sommer/

https://magellanmotorcycletours.co.uk/ would probably be able to help you.
They are not the cheapest but they are large enough to offer a pretty comprehensive and flexible service, with a good variety of tours, guided/self guided, bike hire, hotel bookings etc.
    Worth a shout.

I’ll hold my hands up now and confess these kind of trips just ain’t my/our thing and currently our Euro trips must be around the 220/230 mark ranging from using a 750 H2 two stroke, too an XR/KTM GT/K1200r Sport but you’ve asked the question and their are companies that do what you are looking but they mainly advertise in the UK press.

    mcitours.com

And there’s a thread running on this site already on this site as in XR forum site

No idea if any are any good but at least a starting point ATB

Depends.. You want to rent the bikes? And when? Alpine roads are closed up to early june. (Too) busy in july and august unless you go slow with the flow. September is great again, but end September snow if bad luck. Best bet seems Spain, many rental companies, many options. Just one of the BMW ones:

Thanks for the link! We don’t have a timeframe yet, we can be pretty flexible and tailor to the weather of the region we’d be in. Yes we would want to rent motorcycles, sport touring types. The more I look into things I am leaning towards Spain, probably would be 2025. I was eyeballing Ireland but I”m afraid of riding on the left side of the road.

And if your looking to turn it into a culture experience,I’d try and do the trip to include either a WSB or Moto GP and you really will see a cross section of biking society.

ideally, if going to Spain, you want the bike hire to include riding in France and maybe Portugal. The Pyrenees Mountains between France and Spain are a highlight of the region and you really want to be able to ride over the Cols that cross from Spain into France and vice versa.

Avoid the area in school holidays. It's oppressively hot anyway. Best times are second half of May, June, September or first half of October.

Stay in a few of these hotels https://paradores.es/en - I always book the over 50s half board rate that includes dinner & breakfast.

I can recommend motohirespain.com based in Andalusia southern Spain
They do guided tours round Spain/Portugal/ Morocco. Coincidentally the main guide is American. Great guy called Norman.
If you don't want the guide they can bring the bikes to you at your hotel anywhere in Spain or Portugal.
    Good range of bikes.
Have used them for the last 13 years and can highly recommend.  :028:
