Strong fuel smell and other issues
« on: September 12, 2016, 03:31:41 PM »
Hi guys ..

I have noticed recently, whenever I start my bike, i have this strong fuel smell, I wondered if anyone else noticed it ?

Also, twice it happened already, while sitting at a traffic light, bike in neutral or clutch in, it just dies. It fires back up and is fine, but that worries me. This morning, I arrived at work after a nightmare A13 commute, bike was hot. Went back a while later, switched on and the temp still read 76c, cranked over and over but does not want to start at all. Left it, went back a few hours later, bike showed 34c and started fine.

Anyone else having these issues ?

just in case anyone else have similar issues. just had a call from the dealership, apparently there are some known issue with the fuel hose(s) on these bikes. they are replacing it for me under warranty. not sure exactly what yet, i will ask tomorrow when I pick up the bike what exactly went wrong.

{c/o Tommy Cooper} Local Police hunting the 'knitting needle nutter', who has stabbed six people in the rear in the last 48 hours, believe the attacker could be following some kind of pattern.
