Ohlins steering damper
on:

Just had an adjustable Ohlins unit fitted as I was totally fed up with the way over-damped standard one. Low speed handling is much easier and no tank-slappers at higher speeds set on click 8.
BG Motorsport at Silverstone Circuit, which is local to me, supplied the damper, spacers etc and even fitted it as mine was the 1st they had done.
Nice job and I'm very pleased with the result

It's not cheap but worth it IMHO - £350.00 fitted.
All we need now is some narrower handlebars to make, in my case, rush hour M25 filtering easier - anybody seen any?

Very nice Morse
And i was wondering as well, is it me, or ..sometimes it feels like there is no dumper what so ever.
Could you share the model of that Ohlins please?
Fed up with the things you mentioned and im thinking to go that directions too, i like your feedback.
If im not mistaken, this will do as well:

There's no part number on the invoice and the number on the damper itself is 600022 140268 if that helps. Suggest you check with your local BMW dealer to see if the RR & XR use the same part. I've looked online and can't find the answer.
Or you could just buy one from BG Motorsport in Silverstone UK maybe?

ok, i think i got somewhere. there is one model just the stroke mm is different, obviously.
Do you know how much mm stroke is the one you fitted, was it the same as the stock one?
And I found a local distributor also.

But if you have any link from the online shop BG Motorsport at Silverstone, that will be helpful also.
thank you

I measured the Ohlins stroke at 85mm when fitted to the bike, and the stock full stroke is 95mm when not fitted.

So i guess the ohlins you put, is also around 95mm before you install it.
I will drop an email to BG Motorsport, as well, because the distributor here, doesn't have any of these dimensions and he hasn't replied for some time now.
And his listing was starting from 63mm, 65mm, 68mm and then 90mm.
thanks for your efforts.
cheers
