I have a 4000 mile ESA model and I'd like the non ESA model so could arrange a swap.

PM me if interested

I have a non esa model which I really like but I'm intrigued as to why you'd want to swap?

Is it the suspension?

I love many apsects of the bike - I just find the supension  life threateningly shocking when riden hard!!  I think its because I'm only 65kgs and there is no adjustment.  its a really harsh ride over bumps, but strangely bouncy and unpredicatble in corners.   Becuase of ESA no one wants to touch the springs.

Think Damodici and I/me should start a non ESA section :002: if you go into the Revs Racing site which is the UK Wilbers importer whilst checking on which spec shock noticed in the last couple weeks they have their ESA option on the XR list but God knows how much it would cost but most certainly would solve your problem.

Obviously this is going to sound ridiculously bias but I must admit, the main thing I didn't like about the SE version was the suspension and lack of adjustment.

The Sport version suspension is actually pretty plush if you want it to be or with a couple of clicks of a flat head screwdriver nice and sporty.

I've not once thought it needed much more when pushing on and also found it perfect for two up.

Sometimes technology isn't always better.....Although I wouldn't give up my quick shifter / blipper :)

Just have the springs changed. Wilbers (Triple Tuning) has a whole range of front and rear springs. They will even recommend the correct rates for you.  The damping is soft enough in ROAD that it will work with softer springs. At least it's worth a try.

Has anyone who thinks the ESA version is too hard actually measured the sag ?

That would give you an idea of how far out the spring rates were.
