Nice colour.

Are the bar end weights any bigger, one wonders?

From the other website:

http://bmw-motorrad-uk.blogspot.com.au/2016/10/upgrades-hit-s-1000-xr.html

"Softer isolating elements on the handlebars effectively prevent even the finest vibrations from being passed onto the handlebar ends in the new S 1000 XR. "

Now to me that's an admission by BMW that there is a problem with vibration thru the bars.
I'll be contacting BMW & my dealer to see if this can be incorporated into my bike.
(not too hopeful but if you don't ask.....)

Ive already been onto BMW UK to ask if they are going to retro fit the isolating mounts to sold models and they didn't know, but said they would find out and let me know
If you want to contact them to raise this issue, contact details below, hopefully the more pressure.......

Alternatively, if you would like to contact the BMW UK Customer Services department, please do so via:
- Telephone: 0370 5050 160
- E-mail: customer.service@bmw.co.uk

Oh, the initial response would be that if it was a safety issue they would, but as it's a comfort issue they didn't know
I said that there press release is almost an admission that it was a flaw as it only really intrudes at certain rev ranges, mainly the legal speed limit on motorways in the UK
I have the end weights and they have sorted the problem, almost. And I know that a bike will vibrate but that the ones on my bike are very specific and pronounced at certain speeds
See what they say

So, after BMW swearing blind that there were no vibration issues, they bring out this update? Unbelievable. :232:
