Gaaaa! To Akropovic or not?
« on: October 08, 2016, 03:32:47 AM »
Driving myself batty waffling back n forth about an Akra slip on (no desire for the headers)

For those that went slip on only were you happy with the sound?

I'm torn between it sounds just fine stock vs what the hell just get one and be happy.

$1100 us dollars. That's the part that I don't like. Never paid that much for a slip on pipe.

Nah! Go for the Cobra Ultrashort.
Half the money but double the sound.
And they look nasty in satin black :)

They sound killer on the youtube clips but cosmetically they made me throw up a bit in my mouth.

Of course, the sensible thing to do would be to put the money towards new tyres or track days...

But, hey, there is very little sensible about the XR....

Cost wise not a chance, cant justify the fee, stock for sounds really good and i'm happy with that, some of the after market ones look like a they had a guy from Heinz design it.
Sooner spend the dosh on a euro trip, better memories and stuff you'd talk about for years, Ackra, yer got one sounds nice, sold it with the bike !

Each to their own though..  :028:, be shite of we were all the same..which thinking aloud seems more so as these XR's are getting popular  :157:
Therapy...

You'll never see a motorbike parked outside a psychiatrists.
