I'm going down on the 23rd also, but by train. Went last year and paid on the door. (I refuse to pay the "fulfilment fees" )

It was "good" last year, albeit I was targeting the Multi in my sights. I think it depends on what you want out of it. A lot of people loved last years show.

For me and my other half its a great social day, always go on the first day because most of the folks we know working there have lost the will to live by the following weekend, meet up with friends midday for cake and coffee and then try to look at a few bikes of an afternoon and of course easy for me to say because we live all of 20 minutes away.

Assuming I survive setting up today at the Stafford Classic bike show :003:

The show is pretty good, glad your riding as the car parking is scandalous.its always great to see new bikes for next year and some of the girls on the stands look good too.but over the last few years there don't seem to be many bargains to be had on quality helmets and bike wear, theres lots of tat (cheap gloves ,and jackets)and there aint that many f freebee's to be had (calendars, key rings, ect) but i will probably go with a couple of mates. full english first then on the train
    fix it till its broke

I'm going 5 up in the car it's normally a good day out spot of lunch and a beer "if your not driving" the bargains are not like they were but sometimes if you do see a few just know what your after.
After over thirty + years behind the bars, there's still lots to do and see.

The show is worth it and I haven't missed one for years, if you go by bike the free secure parking is in one of the empty halls a very short walk from the action. Only downside is no beer for you!
I did once see a guy park his car and put his leathers on to walk around the show like a real biker.

     :745:

Your joking, that's mad, but I know someone who'd do that too...
This bike park is indoors then, didn't realise, fingers crossed for a dry ride down then  :152:

I went last year.  It was good, but get in early to beat the crowds....and the parking and accommodation is indeed a bloody rip off... :230:

We missed the obvious last year it has always been 10am for as long as we can remember rolled up at 9.30 and every one had gone in with no queue then realised they'd changed to 9am. :015:
