Pair of panniers needed anyone got a pair??
« on: January 05, 2017, 10:39:43 PM »
Couple of events coming up that are going to see me having to fit a pair of panniers unfortunately.
Priced up Shad 36 and panniers inner bags and rack total £390.00 delivered.
However wondered if anyone had a pair of original panniers to sell before I go ahead and order the Shad as they seem to fit a bit closer than the Shad. and I already have the racks.
Don't want to pay more than £400.00 as I really don't like the look of the bike with panniers  and definitely don't want aluminium ones and whatever I fit will come straight off after the events.
Realise I'm probably asking for too much I expect as I know BMW charge an obscene amount for originals but always worth asking.

No need now bought a brand new pair of Kappa plus Givi quick release frames all for well under £400 delivered. Suits me perfect for occasional use then chuck in the corner of the garage.
Really don't think panniers do anything for this bike especially the aluminium ones.

Here you go cost me £380.00 delivered and includes the quick release brackets so I can take em off in a few minutes when not needed, see 3rd link below.
Will post some pics when I fit em.
Did consider the ones on Ebay but too big and bulky for me also considered Shad but again too bulky and stick out way too far making the bike very wide also neither have the quick release frames
As you can probably tell I really don't want panniers on this bike but have a 2000 mile charity ride coming up and will probably have a disabled pillion so a necessary evil. Personally not seen one set of panniers yet that do anything for this bike, they're all pig ugly imo :005:

That's a really good system there, why can't they all be so simple, agree the eBay one's are a few inches way too wide, butt ugly too..
