Puig Levers
« on: January 10, 2017, 06:59:45 AM »
Hello
There are Puig levers on E Bay for the XR, has anybody tried them?  They look OK and don't break the bank at around £80-£90 a pair.

Regards
Mark

Hi mark
I'm also in the market for a set of replacement clutch & brake levers.
I also saw the set of levers on Ebay sold by powermint_uk (Brake and clutch lever Puig zB BMW S1000 XR (K10) 2015- rigid black)  and liked their price.

I was concerned as their product number of Manufacturer Part Number: 5440R1234 didn't appear in the Puig 2016 PDF product catalog which you can easily download on the www.

I've just send Puig customer service an e-mail asking for their comments and whether they're suitable.
I'll post my reply as soon as i get it.
Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim
Just spoke to BR Tuning as you did, Puig do make levers for the XR, they are £109 from them with £6.50 P+P.  The woman on the phone said if we both wanted them she would send them P+P free, as I have spoken to them and then to you she said she would leave it to me to contact you.

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark
Thanks for the update. I'm currently looking at some levers elsewhere but am tempted by the offer of no P&P by BR racing. I'd need to check the exact Puig model number as there are quite a few variations . Also , that  the hardware is included i.e
Ref.7808N (clutch adaptor) and ref. 7839N (brake adaptor) :450:

I'll update you very soon
Thanks
Tim

Hi Mark
After lots of research & communication with the seller ,  ive just purchased a set from Ebay -seller was powermint_uk .
I bought an  2015 set of brake & clutch levers, extendable, foldable, red adjusters   with  fitting adaptors for £89.93 plus £5.90 postage. A good saving on the current 2016 model.

The 2016 model levers are approx. £139 plus postage new.
They're almost identical and will be hidden under the hand protectors etc
Thanks for your input and i hope you get some soon .
regards
Tim

Hi Tim
Let me know how they fit and if they are fit for purpose, if they are good I will get myself a pair.  Didn't think there was any difference between 2015 and 2016 models.

Regards
Mark

Hi I read your chat on the levers and in the process of buying those too.
Does the clutch lever have the pin/post for the quick shifter sensor?
Thanks, Charlie.
Cheers,
Charlie Spiceboy.

Hi
Yes the clutch lever has the quick shifter lever  already attached to it.There's no need to  transfer it across from the factory fitted lever.
I was very impressed with powermint as they arrived in 2 days and they came from Germany! I could only upload  1 picture due to size restrictions. I'll gladly email you any pics if you PM me.
I hope this helps you.
Tim
