« on: January 18, 2017, 04:18:07 PM »
Sorry I saw a thread on LED headlight bulbs but it was a way down on about page 8 so just wondered if anyone has done LED headlight bulbs if they are any better and what ones you bought

Just fit HID's, they're a piece of piss to fit, and much better than any led bulb.

Les is your man.

Which HID's have you fitted and is it just a bulb change or more?

Rich & I have both fitted HID's from Les at http://www.hid50.com
It's night & day compared to the standard set-up  :046:

I fitted 35w in dip & 50w fast strike in high
New 'bulbs' & small(ish) ballasts. Les supplies everything except the holesaw
Send him a mail if you've questions, he's very helpful

Thanks - I think I will fit the Phillips Extreme in that case.

Do the parking / sidelights stay on with the DRL??

Not on Mine Paul
the DRL is on by its self then when the headlight comes on so do the Side lights, Id prefer the side lights to be on all the time to be honest, but wont be an easy rewire job with the Canbus !!

Thanks for the information. No point in improving the sidelights for daytime use then

Ive put LED side lights in and they do look better as the Philips Racing vision headlight and high beam bulbs are much whiter than the originals and therefore make the side lights look very yellow
now they are all the same colour
