Hello from new XR owner
« on: January 22, 2017, 09:34:57 AM »
Hi all !

Picked up my 16' plate SE end of November 2016, not the best time to be getting a new bike I know, but could'nt resist after the test ride out of Riders Bridgwater.

Blown away by the bike, absolutely love it!!  am already starting to do some small mods .......... just fitted a SC Project high level carbon slip on, looks great and sounds Brill !!  next is a tail tidy, I am torn from between the R&G and Evotech, anybody got any experience of either, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Stu

Go for the Evotech, as the R&G involves using a cheap £3.99 replacement rear light, which looks ghastly.

Sounds like good advice thanks, are the Evotech radiator and oil protectors off equal quality? I could order them the same time as the tail tidy !

Take a look at these, well worth considering.

Fitted mine the other day, very easy to fit.

Yep, definitely. IMO, their kit is the best. You've bought the best bike, fit the best kit! :028:

I have them on mine, good fit & look well. But the coating seems to be coming off where the dirt/gravel hits it  :012:

Cheers chaps, thanks for taking the time to reply.

Going to go with the Evotech kit, seems like the best quality, great advice about it keeping the stock tail lights!

Cheers Stuart

I had the Evotech ones on my S1000R and the coating came off where it was getting hit from front wheel. They do look good tho.
I bought the ones from racingradiatorguards for £33 and they look great and are very easy to fit and are a third of the cost of Evotech ones.
